Walkthrough: Buffy, the vampire slayer: Chaos bleeds

Sunnydale Mall

Oh, no. As great as Willow is, she is slow as all hell in this game so you know that this level will be difficult to some degree. When you take control of the action, use the Sun Spell or the Fireball Spell to destroy the vampires that will attack the stake-less redhead. When everything is dead and gone, destroy the furniture in here for a healthy amount of Stakes and take the Cooking Oil from the hot dog stand. Take note of the ATM machine head up the escalator, taking out vampires as you go. Run around this circular balcony and pick up any of the Stakes if you need them. Go into the security room across from the escalator and open the door to the right to get rid of a couple of vampires. Break the chair to the right for a Stake, and pick up the Holy Water in the plant to the left. Take the Dictaphone from the desk and try to access the computer marked "door."

Leave the security room and go back to the first floor. Turn right and break the boards over the doors of the Sports Shop for two Stakes. Go into the Sports Shop and to be ambushed by vampires. On the bright side, Willow learns the Possession Spell in here. Grab the Medi-Pak on the right counter and break a chair for a Stake. Fight off some more vampires check the left side of the store for two Stakes, a vial of Holy Water, and a Baseball Bat. Search the second cubicle and break the chair and boxes for some Stakes before taking two bottles of Hell-Fire and a Medi-Pak from under the seat. Go into the next room, pound a vampire into oblivion, and head through the doors. Take out your enemies and search the room for three bottles of Hell-Fire, a Medi-Pak, and two chairs that can be turned into Stakes. Check out the store cage to see a tank leaking gas. Aim a Fireball at the cylinder in order to blow up the cage and the wall. Aren't explosions fun?

Go through the wrecked cage and into the Computer Store. Turn right and open the treasure chest on the floor to find a Medi-Pak. Search the rubble for two Stakes, and the left side of the room for a bottle of Hell-Fire and a Medi-Pak. Since the Component Store door is locked, move to the store area and show the oncoming vampire your magical stuff. Pick up the vial of Holy Water on the right, a Stake to the left, and beat up another vampire. Continue on until you find yourself in a store called Bits and PCs. Grab three Stakes from the counter area (one of which begins its life as a chair); a Shutter Key from the actual counter in addition to another Stake by the plant in the corner, and get ready to be attacked by nine vampires (not all at once, luckily...). Take them out using whatever means possible and step out into the mall, picking up three more Stakes on the way.

In the next area, learn the Sonic Blast and turn left. Take out the vampires, unlock the door behind you, and inspect the bottom floor of this part of the mall. Chimes, Jolly's Mega store, and Kastan's Perfume are all locked, so fight off the vampires that attack you out here, picking up any needed Stakes from corner near the metal door, as well as by the plant near Kastan's, and go up to the second floor. Take out a couple of more vamps and search the plant on the right for a Stake. Turn right, and then right a second time and check the plants and benches for some more Stakes. Unlock the door at the end of the balcony using the Shutter Key and make your way to the bank. Approach the door with a dove on the glass and talk to the vampire on the other side; he will tell Willow how to activate the security doors in return for money. Since Willow is currently broke, go to Papyrus Books (across from the bank), defeat some undead beasties, and take the Credit Card from the counter. Check the bookstore for four more Stakes and a couple of vampires, and make your way toward the employee's only door. By now a vampire should have dropped through the ceiling, right? Check the ceiling where he fell through for six Stakes. Grab the ladder and pull it to the hole on the left; climb up and break two boxes for Stakes, and then pick up a bottle of Hell-Fire, a vial of Holy Water, and a Medi-Pak from the secret stash.

Climb back down the ladder and drag it to the second hole in the ceiling. Climb up and jump to auto-grab the ledge and pull yourself up. Go through the open chain link door to a winch, and take note of the infinite Stake supply to the right. Search the winch and use the Cooking Oil on it. Now that the elevator is working again, leave the bookstore. Turn right and take out the vampires and use that Shutter Key to make your way back to the first floor of the main mall area and the ATM machine. Use the Credit Card to take out some Cash (how in the hell is that supposed to work exactly?) and run across the fountain area to the elevator; search the corpse inside for a Broken Key and ride the elevator upstairs. Step out of the elevator, turn left, and run to the Key Store. Melt anything that stands in you way using your trusty arsenal of spells and search the counter for some Hell-Fire and Holy Water. Break the two chairs to the left for Stakes (if you need them) and search the rack of keys on the wall. Take the Door Key and return to the bank by going clockwise from the Key Store past a locked metal door, past the security room, and through the metal door that leads back to the secondary mall region.

Use the Door Key to open the main doors of the bank and run inside. The metal detector set off an alarm that locks everything up, so step back and place all of Willow's items onto the tray. Go through the metal detector, turn left, and pick up all the items at once. Search the foyer for two Stakes and a vial of Holy Water. Jump over the counter and take out the vampires on the other side before grabbing a Medi-Pak from the cart. Go through the entryway on the left and break the two crates for two Stakes. Pick up some Holy Water and Hell-Fire and go through the door on the right. Fight your way to the other side and go through the door to enter the manager's office. Two vampires are in here, one of which is attacking a civilian. Stop him first and protect the girl to be rewarded with a bottle of Hell-Fire. Search the bookcase for another bottle of Hell-Fire and each corner of the room for a Stake. Go to the computer and use the Dictaphone to play back the manager's voice in order to open the vault. Press the switch on the wall before going into the vault to release the security barricade on the front door and window.

Inside the vault, pick up two Hell-Fire bottles from the shelves and a fat wad of Cash. Leave the bank and fight your way to the door with the dove on it. Give the vampire the Cash and he will give you the Computer Store Key. Go downstairs via dropping down or using the escalator and go into Bits and PCs. Take out the vampires and go through the door in the far left corner to the storeroom passage. Move to the rubble, turn right, and go to the Component Room door. Open the door and pick up the Modem on the shelf to the left. Go back to the main mall area by going through Bits and PCs, then right and through the metal door. Go up the escalator, beat down some vampires on the way, and go into the security room. Go to the computer marked "doors" and use the Modem to hack into the security system. Leave the security room and go to the door between the Key Store and Jolly's located on the second floor balcony.

Boss Fight: Vampire Tara
In this fight you must use ranged attacks, as you cannot move from the balcony. However, the only attack that works is the Fireball Spell. As for Tara, her spells are slow moving but really powerful, so dodge them at all costs by positioning yourself behind one of the steel pillars. Tara will also call upon some vampires that will jump the balcony and attempt to distract you while Tara launches her fireballs at you. Cast Homing Spells on Tara and use the Possession Spell on the vampires to make them attack her. Hit her about 11 or so times to finish her off and claim Cassandra's Arm.
