Donald Lydecker

He was in charge at Manticore, the military base where Max and her siblings were when they were kids.

After Max and the others escaped, Lydecker started searching for them. He's still looking, even 10 years later. He refers to them as 'his kids'. He wants to capture them, bring them back to Manticore. They are his soldiers, and he will go to great lengths to try and get them back.

When he was younger, he was on the fast track to success in the military. However, when his wife was murdered, he lost that edge that he had, and was dishonorably discharged. He also had a drinking problem and was forced to go to a meeting and say, "Hi my name is Don and I'm an alcoholic."

We know little about his personality, however he is known to double cross people who trust him, and stab them in the back. He is not to be trusted. They say that a man with nothing to lose is the fiercest enemy. And by all accounts, Donald Lydecker has nothing left to lose.
