Other SG teams and Dr. Fraiser are mobilized to deal with the crisis with SG-11 and it turns out it is a trap for SG-1, and Jack is shot down. Upon returning to the base, there is at least one unrevealed casualty and Agent Woolsey of the NID is called in to review the operation at the behest of Senator Kinsey. SG-1 is reluctant to cooperate and documentarian Bregman attempts to unravel the truth as well, asking for a tape Daniel made of the ambush. Hammond is caught between both of them, and eventually gives the tape to Bregman to get around the NID's cloak of secrecy. We discover that Dr. Fraiser was the one killed and Carter speaks at her memorial, giving the names of all those she saved. Bregman gets his documentary, with Hammond apologizing to him and even getting Jack to submit to an interview.
