Season 2 Episode 18 - Blind Faith

When a man named Palamon kidnaps Gabrielle, Xena has a fight with him, which is what Palamon wants. He wants to beat Xena in a fair fight to the death so that he can get a good reputation. When fighting Xena gets some oil in her eyes, and the oil contains an ingredient that will blind her unless treated in a day. She wins the fight against Palamon and sets of to find Gabrielle. Palamon tell her where she is and Xena makes him come along knowing that shortly she will become blind. When Palamon starts to realise that Xena sight is going he wonders why Xena doesn't go to Athens and get the serum that she need, but he knows it is because she has to get Gabrielle back. Meanwhile Gabrielle has been taken to a castle and she is to marry a dead king because if she does then on of the people working at the palace gets to become king if the King is married when he dies.

If he is not married then the nearest relative, his brother, gets to be king. Gabrielle will also be killed because they can't let anyone outside the castle know what they have done. Xena gets to the castle just in time and her and Palamon save Gabrielle. Xena even manages to get her sight back as the gardens to the palace have the ingredient growing out side. As for Palamon, the trip with Xena made him realise that he is not a bad man and he has never killed any one so he starts to become good and help people.
