Season 3 Episode 05 - Gabrielle's Hope

After being put on Dahak's alter in the last episode Gabrielle becomes pregnant with Dahak's daughter. Xena and Gabrielle know that she is not mortal as Gabrielle is only pregnant for a few days before she gives birth, but it is said that Dahak will have two children one will be good and one evil. Gabrielle names her daughter Hope and looks after her trying to forget who the father is, but Xena is not as trusting and when one of the guards who were looking after them suspiciously die, Xena knows that Hope is evil. She tries to kill her but Gabrielle wont let her. With the help on some banshees Gabrielle gets away from Xena and tricks her by pretending that she throw Hope of a cliff because she attacked her. At first Xena doesn't believe her, but after a while she trusts Gabrielle, but Xena had good reason to be suspicious because Gabrielle put Hope in a river praying that someone would look after her and be safe.
