Season 5 Episode 13 - Eternal Bonds

Xena, Gabrielle and Eve are chased by a tornado made by the gods, they manage to find shelter in a cave and find Joxer in there. He has brought three people with him who want to see Xena's baby. They each give Eve a gift but Xena soon realizes that they are really there to kill her. A fight brakes out and Xena, Gabrielle and Joxer defeat them. But whilst fighting Joxer gets cut by a poisoned blade so Joxer and Gabrielle have to travel to a tree that contains a cure for the poison which will kill him without treatment. Xena stays behind and looks after Eve, waiting to see if there are any other people trying to sneak up on them and kill them. Xena, Gabrielle and Joxer agree to met up again at the tree. That night Xena has an intimate dream about Ares, they next day while laying some false traps Xena tries to understand her dream and in the end decides that "A dream is just a dream". Meanwhile Joxer and Gabrielle have gone way off track and are nowhere near the tree Joxer is now very ill and too weak to walk. Xena has now got to the tree and starts looking for a signal from Gabrielle as to where they are, in the sky she sees one of Gabrielle scrolls floating in the air, it must be a sign. On the way to reaching them Xena is visited by Ares who tells her that if she gives him a child he will protect them all from all the gods, in the distance Xena can see three huge armies coming towards her. She ignores Ares's offer and finds Gabrielle and Joxer. Then before she can give Joxer the cure Xena got from the tree the armies attack them. Xena and Gabrielle fight them and again Ares offers his help but Xena and Gabrielle fight without him and win. Xena gives the cure to Joxer just in time and the poison quickly dies. Xena now realizes that the gods are determined to kill Eve, so what will the future hold.
