Season 5 Episode 21 - Eve

Xena has decided to try and save Eve's soul, so Xena, Gabrielle, Joxer and Virgil follow her. Xena realizes that she has an army of Romans with her and is probably slaughtering more people. When Xena gets to a village full of Eli followers, she knows Livia has already been there because everyone is dead. Many people are crucified and blood covers the ground. Xena tells Joxer, Gabrielle and Virgil that Livia isn't her daughter anymore, her daughter is Eve, Livia is the daughter of Rome. After trying help the handful of people left Xena decides to track down Livia and kill her. That night Xena finds out that Livia plans to destroy one of Eli's temples and arranges a plan of her own while the other three get some sleep.

In the middle of the night Gabrielle gets up and finds Livia's camp determined to change Livia back. Livia has other ideas and captures Gabrielle she plans to kill her in the morning. When Joxer wakes up he finds Gabrielle missing he goes after her, he quickly gets to Livia's camp and sees Gabrielle tied up. Then Xena enters the camp and starts killing Romans Livia panics, draws her sword and tries to stab Gabrielle. Joxer stands between them and gets stab in the stomach and falls to the ground. Xena gets there and Livia runs, Gabrielle gets untied and runs over to Joxer. Virgil, Xena and Gabrielle crouch down to him and Joxer says he feels cold with that Joxer closes his eyes and dies. Virgil only thinks of vengeance and he along with Xena and Gabrielle go to Eli's temple. Just before getting there Xena begs Eli to tell her want to do, she can't stand the thought of killing Livia but know she has to. when nothing happens Xena goes to Eli's temple along with Gabrielle and Virgil and some backup she got from Augustus. When Livia gets there a huge fight breaks out Xena is fighting Livia while everyone else fights the Romans. Xena manages to pin Livia to the ground and says "Eli save my daughter". Livia gets up and pins Xena to the ground and goes to kill her but then a beam of light from the sky comes down over Livia and Xena and Livia sees the past. She sees Callisto and how she gave up her soul as a gift to Xena, then sees Xena's fight against Zeus while she is being born, then she sees Xena singing to her as a child and then sees Gabrielle's and Xena's heroic struggle against the Gods to save her life. "What have I done?" Livia says, and is reborn. As she runs out she says that her names isn't Livia it is Eve. Xena and Gabrielle run outside the temple and prepare to run after her, Xena knows she has her daughter back.
